Mrs. Regina Stark

Welcome! First of all, thank you for visiting our school site.

I am Regina Stark, the second grade teacher. My 11 years teaching at Sacred Heart School have been tremendously enjoyable and rewarding. I started at Sacred Heart School in March 2004. In 2002, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and completed the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Program in 2003, both from California State University Stanislaus, Turlock.

It is my mission to see my students grow spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. I believe challenges and mistakes are part of the growing process, and therefore I believe  it is essential to  give students the opportunity to start fresh everyday.

My second grade students receive instruction in daily oral language, phonics, spelling, reading, vocabulary, writing, math, religion, and social studies or science. This is the year when daily homework is assigned, which serves two important purposes: to provide independent practice and to teach responsibility.  In addition to the core curriculum, students are reminded and taught the importance of how we should treat others: kindness, respect, responsibility, honesty, and God’s gift of free will. Sacramental preparation is also taught. It is a blessing and honor to assist our parents in teaching and preparing their child for two Sacraments: First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to visit my site.
