Mr. Kevin Crivelli

“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dream.” – Roald Dahl

Welcome to 3rd Grade!  My name is Kevin Crivelli and I have been the 3rd Grade teacher at Sacred Heart for the past 19 years.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in history from CSU, Stanislaus.  I earned my teaching credential from Chapman University the following year and have been at Sacred Heart ever since.  As an alumnus of the school, it is truly an honor to have the opportunity to teach here.

In the 3rd Grade, we focus on being the best we can be at all times.  We know we make mistakes, but we work to learn from those mistakes and turn negatives into positives.  Every day is a new day with no mistakes in it.  Third graders work hard on having positive attitudes and coming to school prepared and ready to learn something fun and interesting every day.  I do my best to make my curriculum and classroom entertaining and meaningful to my students’ everyday lives.  I am a firm believer that students retain more when learning is fun.

Along with teaching 3rd Grade, I also teach an after school program for the 4th and 5th Graders.  The Sacred Heart Yosemite Club is one of 14 classes in the Western United States selected to participate in the Yosemite Environmental Living Program.  In this program, students portray figures from Yosemite’s past and spend 24 hours living as they did in the 1850s to the early 1900s.  The next two days are spent doing outdoor education and camping in the valley.  It is an outstanding program and a wonderful opportunity for the kids, as well as parents.
